Below....1992 at the bakery....
![]() Stollen had been made with a glaze. Now it is done the trad-itional way, sprinkled simply with powdered sugar. (This was the preference of Mrs. Ilse Westman, my best German Stollen customer.)

feel free to call me....
Pumpkin Roll $12.50
This pumpkin sponge cake is spread and rolled up with a with butter, cream
cheese and confectionary sugar filling. Because it freezes very well and cuts easily
when frozen, a single roll may be enjoyed over a period of time, or all at once
for a special occasion.
Roughly between 22-24 ounces, about 8 inches long. With 3/4" slices, will serve 10.
![]() Lemon Pound Cake $18.00
Two pounds of a lemon delight...soaked with extra lemon when it
comes out of the oven, later topped with a lemon glaze. Freezes well, slice off
just what you need, and savor.
Hungarian Walnut & Poppyseed Dessert Rolls (Beigli) $8.50 per roll
(5 or more, $8 each...must be mailed to one location, or picked up)
![]() The walnut rolls have raisins and a tinge of lemon. The poppyseed rolls have
a hint of orange, and no raisins. (Advance notice needed for any changes, and an
extra charge of $.50 per roll will apply.)
There are two traditional variations of these rolls. This one has a yeast dough, with
an equal balance of dough to filling. The weight of the filling tends to make the roll
flatten when cool.
The other version, which I don't make, is made with a short dough (no yeast), more like
a flaky pastry dough, just enough to hold a very thick layer of filling.
Austrian Linzer Torte $20.00 New shape....rectangular, picture will be here later.
Ground almonds and spices are in this dense, moist dough, with
raspberry jam (apricot may also be available). Although you may serve it
sliced, a little goes a long way. For parties, I prefer to cut it into bite-sized pieces.
![]() Smaller pieces may be available, too.
German Stollen (Oct - Dec only) $ 9.50
A moist, flavor full yeast dough has raisins soaked in rum, slivered almonds,
candied cherries and citron.
After baking, it is brushed with butter and sprinkled with sugar (traditional), or may
have a light glaze flavored with cherry or butter rum.
Yule Log (Nov-Dec only) $20.00
Made without flour, the sponge cake is thin and feather light, just thick
enough to hold the filling together. You may choose a filling of whipped cream or
a chocolate ganache made with sour cream instead of heavy cream for a tangy, less
sweet, flaver. The log is frosted with a thicker ganache.
Please specify choice of filling.
![]() Hungarian Pastry Pockets $20.00 per pound** (about 26- 32 pieces, sizes vary)
A tender dough made with butter, flour and cream cheese, rolled out and filled
with apricot. Time permitting, walnut, poppyseed and prune may be available.
![]() Italian Almond Cookies $9.50 per pound, $4.75 per half pound
A shortbread cookie with ground almonds, held together with
butter.
Austrian Walnut Macaroons $9.50 per pound, $4.75 per half pound
No flour...just the taste of walnuts...with a dab of apricot jam.
(Gluten free, made with walnuts, sugar, egg whites)
Chinese Tea Cookies $9 / pound
IF dough is available, $9 for 3# of dough, to make up & bake.
Tri-colored sugar cookies dressed up for the holidays with
sprinkles, cherries or raspberry jam.
Coconut Macaroons to be announced
Made with coconut flakes, nice and chewy. Some with Italian
wild cherry, some with raspberry jam, and some are chocolate.
Made spread out in a pan, then cut after baking.
Scandinavian Cardamom Braid $6.50 (special order)
Our Finnish Nisu bread. This is common to all the Scandinavian countries.
Breads take longer and since I am working alone, with a late start, they are
my last priority. Please call and see if I can squeeze them in.
Swedish Limpa MAY be made just before Xmas. $6 per loaf
